Highland View General Music
Students in the Greendale Elementary Schools have music two times per week for 25 minutes. In music class, they sing, play instruments, compose, improvise, listen to and analyze music, and learn how music is an integral part of our culture. All students have the opportunity to perform in concerts during the year.
Students in music class are graded on each of the following areas:
· Demonstrates vocal development and proper singing skills
· Can play, read, and/or write rhythms
· Responds to music by listening, describing, or moving
· Uses symbols and appropriate vocabulary for music concepts
· Actively listens, participates, and shows effort
